A video of a man resembling an opposition leader having sex with a young woman is in the possession of a person who wants to be known as Datuk T.
Datuk T said he would hand over a copy of the video to the opposition politician and his wife in a week’s time.
“If they both do no quit politics within a week after receving the copy, I’ll surrender the original video to an NGO so that the authenticity of the video recording can be investigated,” he told several media representatives invited under very surreptitious circumstance to view the recording at a hotel here today.
The journalists were from the New Straits Times, The Star, Berita Harian Utusan Malaysia, Bernama, Oriental Daily, China Press, Malaysiakini, Malaysian Insider, Free Malaysia Today and AFP. More, including Harakah, are expected to be invited.
State assemblyman for Seri Setia Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad who is also Parti Keadilan communiations director, in an immediate tweet response, referred to the video “as doctored video of DSAI”.
The 20-minute video, said to have been taken on Feb 21 at a spa with hotel facilities, was shown to the journalists in batches of three or four under heavily-guarded security.
They had to surrender all their belongings, including electronic gadgets, watches and pens, to Datuk T and his four colleagues before entering a room. They had to also wear robes.
The video showing the politician who resembled the opposition leader who is a Member of Parliament, and a fair-skinned woman, was shown on a laptop.
Datuk T who claimed to be the one who had found the four cameras in the room, named the politician in his statement to the press.
He said he wanted the media to watch the footages before sending a copy to the politician’s wife to identify the person on the video.
Relating how he discovered the cameras, he said that after the politician left the hotel, he realised he had left behind his Omega watch in a room that he had occupied earlier.
“I was asked to search for the watch in the room. As I could not find the watch on the table, I searched for it behind the dresser. I was shocked to find many strands of wire behind the dresser.
“Upon close inspection, I found four well-hidden CCTV cameras, I tried to open the two dresser drawers, and found one was locked.”
Datuk T said he pried open the locked drawer using a sharp object and found an active CCTV recorder which he took with him.
“No one else has this recording and I will hand not over copies to any quarters for fear of reproduction and redistribution,” he stated.
Datuk T further said that if it was true that the individual in the footage is the opposition leader, then he and his wife must step down from politics.
“He (name mentioned) is not a pious person with high moral value and integrity as portrayed, and therefore he is not fit to be a leader.”
Datuk T and his colleagues wore sun glasses and refused to reveal their names.
