Lenggeng assemblyman bankrupt case postponed, bankrupt order suspended

SEREMBAN: The Seremban High Court has today postponed the Lenggeng assemblyman Datuk Ishak Ismail bankrupt case hearing to July 23.

The court also suspended a bankrupt order against Ishak until the next hearing. The decision was made in chambers in the presence of counsel for both parties.

Ishak was represented by C.S.Murtti, while his creditor, Datuk Misran Sukadi represented by Francis Peter. Murtti said both parties had agreed to settle the case out of court.

“However, both parties still have to appear before judge Kamaludin Md Said on July 23 to inform the court on the status settlement,” he said.

Ishak was declared bankrupt by the High Court on March 18 after failed to serve loan to Misran. Ishak then filed the appeal against the decision on May 5 after received court order on April 27.
