MARUDI: Barisan Nasional supporters were reminded not to split their votes out of frustration as their candidate of choice was not picked to contest here.

Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi said constituents for the Marudi seat here should consider the selection of a new candidate by the BN as a new chapter of a book.

He said both the new BN candidate Penguang Manggil and incumbent Datuk Sylvester Entri are working side-by-side to ensure victory for the coalition in the election tomorrow.

“I know both these formidable leaders have their own loyal followers on their side and there is bound to be those who are unhappy with the selection made. “But we should look at this with the spirit of the BN coalition in mind, whereby all of us should work as a team under one big umbrella.

Both the leaders have agreed to work with each other and so should the supporters.”

The focus should be to ensure Tan Sri Adenam Satem wins this election to ensure that BN can continue with its development agenda for the people, he stressed.-nst
