Najib celebrates 63rd birthday with friends and family

KUALA LUMPUR: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak celebrated his 63rd birthday yesterday in low-key fashion, accompanied by friends and family.

He participated in ‘solat jemaah’ prayers at his official residence in Seri Perdana, accompanied by friends and colleagues.

Among those in attendance were Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi and other fellow ministers.

“I am blessed to have friends from near and far celebrate my 63rd birthday with a solat jemaah and a religious event in Seri Perdana.

“I am grateful for your attendance,” he posted on his Facebook account.

The posting was accompanied by photos of him and guests at the get-together.

The prime minister had also, throughout the day, personally responded to birthday wishes sent by his followers on Twitter.

“Turning 63 is a new chapter for me and I’m grateful for each day granted by Allah SWT,” he tweeted.
