Umno Youth exco cancels plan to lodge report on alleged PM ousters

KUALA LUMPUR: An Umno Youth exco member has cancelled his plan to lodge a police report against two individuals for allegedly funding a movement to oust Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak.

The exco, Datuk Armand Azha Abu Hanifah, said he made the decision after analysing nine documents he received on the duo’s alleged action.

Armand, when met by reporters at the Dang Wangi police station at 11am today, said he received the documents on Sunday.

“We did a thorough analysis and held discussions on the documents, from morning to evening yesterday, and found that they were false.

“Thus, I decided not to lodge a police report until we get substantial and credible evidence,” he said. A day earlier, Armand had informed members of the press of his plan to lodge the report.

He was accompanied by several members of Umno Youth and Friends of Najib 87 Club information chief Shahbudin Embun.

Armand also urged authorities to investigate and take action against parties who are out to oust Najib through undemocratic methods.-nst
