KUCHING: A fishmonger has been charged with killing British medical students Aidan Brunger and Neil Dalton.

Zulkipli Abdullah, 23, was accused of two counts of murder under Section 302 of the Penal Code.

The charge was read in front of Magistrate Portia Tham Tuesday, who fixed Sept 19 for the case to be mentioned and ordered the accused to be remanded until then.

Zulkipli was one of five suspects picked up in connection with the murder, which happened on Aug 6.

The four others were released from remand and placed under police bond of RM20,000 each with an undertaking to appear in court as witnesses in the case.
