LUMUT, Sept 6 (Bernama) — Perak Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Dr Zambry Abdul Kadir advised Felcra participants not to be easily influenced by slander and allegations by the opposition against Felcra.

He said the opposition did so to create confusion and incite hate towards the Barisan Nasional (BN), knowing that Felcra and Felda areas were BN strongholds.

He was speaking to reporters after handing over Ramadan aid at the Community Hall in Kampung Sungai Wangi, Sitiawan, near here.

At the ceremony, 1,558 people comprising orphans, people with different disabilities and the poor from 35 villages and housing areas were given ”duit raya” and other necessity goods.

Yesterday, Felcra chairman Datuk Tajuddin Abdul Rahman claimed that the opposition were launching a psychological war against the agency, including by distributing pamphlets defaming the agency.

These activities were aimed at getting Felcra settlers to hate their management, including the government, he added.-BERNAMA
