Perak Amanjaya takes another step closer to being realised

Perak Amanjaya took another step closer towards full implementation with the start of a district level briefing of the state transformation plan, with Perak Tengah becoming the first district to do so today.

About 200 people comprising village heads, penghulus, and district level officers of government departments and agencies attended the briefing conducted by the Darul Ridzuan Institute (IDR) at the KEMAS Training Institute at Seri Iskandar.

The district level briefing is one of the links in the implementing chain of the Perak Amanjaya transformation plan. From this tier, many development and programmes are conducted by the various government departments and agencies, and as implementers, they should have a good understanding of the transformation plan.

At the briefing, IDR Strategic Communication director, Roslan Abdullah highlighted the main objective of Perak Amanjaya is to create quality citizens.
With quality citizens, Roslan added, Perak could harness the various resources the state could offer for the benefit of the rakyat.

One of the participants met by Peraknews.com was Mohd Zain Yacob, who is the penghulu for Pasir Salak said, the district level briefing is a good move by the IDR because it gave a better picture of the transformation plan to the implementers.

“As I have a better understanding of what Perak Amanjaya really is, now I can explain the plan to the people of my area who are mostly rural folks. Before this the matter was a bit fuzzy to me,” Mohd Zain said.

Also commending IDR move to go to the district level to explain Perak Amanjaya was Perak Tengah Information Officer, Khairul Firdaus Mat Jilid. He said the briefing made the issue clearer and now the information could be communicated to the village level by the implementers.
“The government’s aspirations to implement the Perak Amanjaya plan is very good for the rakyat but unlike other previous plans there is a clear roadmap of how it going to be conducted.

“Many previous plans were abandoned because the implementers don’t have a good understanding of the matter and couldn’t communicate the benefits to the villagers.

“But I see Perak Amanjaya have a good chance of success because serious efforts are taken to really explain the transformation plan at all levels,” Khairul Firdaus said.

The briefing was officiated by Perak Tengah District Officer, Datuk Hasim Hasan.
