Opposition Not Based On Reality Of Actual Capability – Najib

PUTRAJAYA, Dec 21 (Bernama) Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak said the various offers made by the opposition pact to the people are not substantiated by the reality of their actual capability.

The Prime Minister, however, declined to comment further on the matter.

“Next time, because we will then give a detailed response,” he said after witnessing the signing of the memorandum of understanding (MoU) between Malaysia and India on technical assistance services for the development and management of highways at his office, here Tuesday.

Najib said this when commenting on the offer in the 100 days programme presented by the opposition pact at their convention held in Penang on Sunday.

It contained nine items including management of the country, economy and education to be implemented within 100 days if they were to win the 13th general election.

They include instructing Khazanah Berhad and the Employees’ Provident Fund (EPF) to take over highway assets from the concessionaires in order to abolish the toll system.

A restructure of the country’s subsidies, to lessen subsidies given to the private sector and transferring these to subsidies for the man on the street, and increasing the incentives for teachers by RM500 a month, cancelling Felda Plantations and opening up its farms to second- and third generation Felda settlers.
