The Taiping leg of Tan Sri Lee Loy Seng chess grand prix tournament is set to be big!

It will be held at the Chinese Recreation Club in Taiping on March 4 (that’s only a couple of days from now).

Seven rounds with a 25 minute time control. (both rounds/time control subject to change depending on the numbers). The Kuala Kangsar leg had a time control of 20 minutes.

Also the organisers have put a limit of 200 participants for the open section.

With the coming NAG 2012, it is expected many juniors from all around the country will use this as a warm up tourney. Judging from the K.Kangsar leg where an incredible 300+ participants turned up (majority comprising juniors), it is expected that the Taiping leg will be just as big if not bigger.
