PM seeks cooperation of industry leaders to help Barisan win back Selangor

SHAH ALAM: Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak is seeking the cooperation of corporate leaders to help Barisan Nasional to win back Selangor in the next general election.

The Prime Minister spent two hours with CEOs and industry leaders at a closed door luncheon on Thursday, where he told them that close co-operation with the Federal Government was important to ensure the well-being of Selangor residents.

Selangor Barisan coordinator Datuk Seri Mohd Zin Mohamed relayed the message to the press, saying that industry captains had vested interests in ensuring that the state had a positive investment climate.

“Principal allocation from the Federal Government has to receive co-operation from the state government. We cannot afford opposing views, as in the case of the water transfer project from Pahang which was opposed by the Selangor state government,” he told reporters after the luncheon.
