Dr Zambry visits the community in Pasir Panjang

DESPITE his busy schedule, Perak Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Dr Zambry Abdul Kadir took time off to mingle with locals in the Pasir Panjang constituency.

His walkabout last Friday morning started with breakfast with several local community leaders in Kampung Sungai Wangi, Sitiawan.

He also managed to speak to a few villagers, who approached him for help with official letters they had received and explained to them what the documents read.

Dr Zambry then visited several families in Kampung Baru nearby, followed by a brief stop at Desa Manjung Raya.

Technician Mior Mazreen Mior Zainuddin was caught by surprise when Dr Zambry visited the electrical service centre he worked at.

“I didn’t know the Mentri Besar was going to visit us. He just walked in and greeted me.

“It was really nice to meet him even though we managed to talk only briefly,” said Mior Mazreen, 25.

Dr Zambry and his convoy later visited several entrepreneurs whose businesses were successfully established under the Tekun financing scheme.

In the afternoon, he also met up with villagers from Kampung Kayan in Lekir and youths in Teluk Kechil on Pangkor Island.
