Agong urges Muslims to practise moderation in their lives

PUTRAJAYA: The Yang di-Pertuan Agong Tuanku Abdul Halim Mua’dzam Shah urged Muslims to practise wasatiyyah, or moderation and balance in their lives as a means to foster unity among all Malaysians.

His Majesty said through the practice of wasatiyyah, the Prophet Muhammad was able to promote tolerance and understanding in society in place of bad habits and fanaticism.

“I am confident that should we follow the practice of wasatiyyah, we would be able to foster unity and achieve success,” he said when declaring open the national-level 1434H Maulidur Rasul celebration at the Putra mosque here
