GELANG PATAH: Pakatan Rakyat state governments will dissolve their state assemblies at the same time as Parliament, DAP advisor Lim Kit Siang said Tuesday.

He pointed out that the Selangor state assembly will dissolve on April 21, followed by Kelantan six days later.

“It is better to dissolve state assemblies controlled by Pakatan at the same time as Parliament.

“I will suggest this to other Pakatan leaders in our meeting held later today (Tuesday),” he said when met after officiating the DAP Gelang Patah operation centre here.

The Negri Sembilan state assembly will automatically dissolve at midnight Wednesday.

The country’s 13th general election is expected to be held in the coming weeks. The current Parliament held its first sitting on April 28, 2008 and automatically dissolves at midnight on April 27.

The last general election was held on March 8, 2008.
