KUALA BESUT: PAS has nominated contractor Azlan @ Endut Yusof as its candidate for the Kuala Besut by-election.

He will face Barisan Nasional’s Tengku Zaihan Che Ku Abd Rahman in the July 24 poll.
The Besut PAS treasurer was introduced to supporters by party president Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang in Kg Nail on Monday night.

Azlan, who is from Kg Baharu here, is also known as Che Long to locals.

The by-election was called following the death of Dr A. Rahman Mokhtar, who garnered a 2,434 vote majority over PAS’ Napisah Ismail in the May 5 general election.
