GEORGE TOWN: Home Minister Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi said that amendments to the Prevention of Crime Act 1959 would be tabled during the next Parliamentary sitting.

Among the amendments include extending the enforcement of the Act to include Sabah and Sarawak.

”The amendments will focus on crime prevention and also to give more power to the police force,” he said on Tuesday.

He said this at a press conference after attending the swearing-in ceremony of the new graduates of Universiti Sains Malaysia.
