SEPANG: ALL four children of the Malaysian couple detained by Swedish authorities over allegations of child abuse arrived at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) this morning.

The four siblings – Aishah (14 years old), Ammar, 12, Adam, 11, and Arif, 7,departed for Malaysia yesterday at 6.30am local time together with Deputy Foreign Minister Datuk Hamzah Zainuddin, as well as a special officer of the deputy minister and a relative of the four children.

Aishah, 14, and her three younger siblings – Ammar, 12; Adam, 11; and Arif, seven – were accompanied by Deputy Foreign Minister Datuk Hamzah Zainuddin and his entourage when they arrived at KLIA at about 7am.

The four were accompanied by relatives upon their arrival.

The children are scheduled to meet Prime Minister’s wife Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor at her residence in Jalan Duta at about 10.30am before they are handed over officially to their family members.

Upon arrival, the children were rushed into three separate vehicles and declined to speak to the media.

However, the eldest sibling, Aisyah sparingly uttered: “I’m happy to be back home.”

A press conference is expected during the meeting with Rosmah.

It was reported that a Swedish Court had extended the remand order against the children’s father, Azizul Raheem Awalludin, who is Tourism Malaysia officer in Sweden, to facilitate probe into the allegation.

The remand order against Azizul, which was the fourth time since his arrest on Dec 18, was extended to another 11 days until February 10.

The Swedish Court had also obtained a remand order against Azizul’s wife, Salwati Norshal, until February 10.
