Teaches workload reduce by 80% after changes in school-based assessment

tpm mKUALA LUMPUR: Teachers across the country can breathe a sigh of relief, as the changes to the school-based assessment will reduce their workload by 80%.

During a press conference at Parliament on Tuesday, Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin said that teachers would no longer have to key data into the online system.

“The teachers will keep the information in the school for their own reference and for the parents to see,” said Muhyiddin.

The amount of data to be collected will also be reduced.

The workload reduction will ensure that teachers have more time to concentrate on teaching and learning.
