KUALA LUMPUR: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak today said the remark made by Sabah lawmaker Datuk Bung Moktar Radin praising Adolf Hitler were “unacceptable” and “wrong”.

In his latest series of Twitter posting, Najib said Bung would withdraw his comments.

“The comments made by Datuk Bung Moktar are unacceptable and wrong, and he will withdraw them.

“He does not speak for Malaysia, or for ordinary Malaysians, who understand Europe’s tragic past, and respect its modern unity.”

Najib said this should be a time of celebration for Germany, and he wished them all the best in the finals of the FIFA World Cup 2014.

Yesterday morning, the Kinabatangan MP on his Twitter account praised the performance of Germany’s World Cup team with a salute to the Nazi dictator.

Bung had tweeted: “Well done… Bravo… Long live Hitler…”after Germany’s crushing 7-1 win over World Cup hosts Brazil.

At 12.09pm today, Bung tweeted his “sincerest apologies”
