ALOR STAR: Police nabbed a suspected drug dealer and seized RM240,000 worth of syabu at Taman Pekan Baru, Sungai Petani on Saturday.

Kedah narcotic crime investigation department (NCID) chief Superintendent Abd Razak Md Zin said the department seized four plastic packets syabu weighing 2.1kg in a raid at 2.50pm.

“The 28-year-old suspect who from Sungai Petani, has a previous criminal record involving drugs. We believe he has been involved in drug dealing for the past six months.

“The father-of-two will be in remand for six days until July 30,” he said in press conference at state police contingent headquarters here today.

The case is being investigated under Section 39B of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952.
