KUALA LUMPUR: Traffic was reported to be moving slowly on all highways leading to the north, south and east coast as at 9 am.

A spokesman of the Plus Expressways Traffic Control Centre said there was traffic congestion on the southbound lanes after the Sungai Besi toll plaza due to an accident at Km309. Traffic was slow-moving between Senawang and Pagoh, he said.

“Northbound, there was traffic congestion from Kota Damansara to Jalan Duta up to Bukit Beruntung. There was also congestion from Lembah Beringin to Gopeng and from Ipoh North to Taiping,” he told Bernama.

Meanwhile, a spokesman of the Malaysian Highway Authority (LLM) said that eastbound, there was traffic congestion from the Gombak toll plaza to the tunnel near Genting Highlands and from Genting Highlands to Bukit Tinggi.

“Traffic was slow along the Duta-Ulu Klang (Duke) highway from the Batu toll plaza heading to Karak,” he said.
