Felda introduces English classes for settlers in Jempol

KUALA LUMPUR: The Felda Foundation has introduced English language classes for Felda settlers in Jempol, Negeri Sembilan to help them promote the land scheme to foreign tourists.

Its managing director cum chief executive officer Datuk Seri Emel Faizal Mohd Mokhtar said this was in line with the agency’s aspiration to move towards global development.

“The twice-weekly classes have been going on since last month at the Foundation Felda Raja Alias college in Jempol to assist settlers learn the language.

“The syllabus covers three areas, namely reading, listening and communicating to assist students to be more confident in using English,” he told reporters after attending a Felda Foundation Aidilfitri function, here, Thursday.
