Too drunk to drive? Calling a cab is a Breeze with new smart breathalyser

A LITTLE HELP: Breathometer’s new smart breathalyser, the Breeze, attaches to your keys. — Breeze from Breathometer:-

Breathometer has unveiled a small, sleek breathalyser that connects via Bluetooth to a corresponding smartphone app upon which it reveals blood alcohol content readings.

The device is conveniently small enough to fit in a pocket and wearable if used with the included clip. Use the included keychain ring and it’s easy to get into the habit of making sure you’re in a sober state before driving.

Like its predecessor, the Original Breathometer, Breeze includes a feature called “Back to Zero” that lets you know when you’ll be ready to drive, eliminating the guesswork of whether or not you should abandon your car for the night and call a cab.

A push-button cab service on the gadget connects you to a local taxi service and a push-button Uber quote and reservation service simplifies the process, which can seem surprisingly complicated after a night of debauchery.

It also offers restaurant location and hotel reservation and will connect you to a pre-selected contact in your smartphone who you can call for help getting home.

Priced at US$99 (RM324), Breeze ships Oct 22.
