‘Mumtaz’ for Kedah STAM candidates

ALOR STAR: A total of 150 of Sijil Tinggi Agama Malaysia (STAM) candidates have passed in all 10 subjects with at least Maqbul (pass) in the examination last year.

State Education Department director Datin Azuyah Hassan said 1,653 students sat for STAM examination at 30 centres.

Azuyah said students from government-aided religious schools, state religious schools and Sekolah Menengah Agama Rakyat had scored Mumtaz (excellent) in the examination.

“Record showed that the National Average Grade (GPN) for STAM examination this year had dropped to 4.05 per cent from 3.21 as compared to 2013,” she said when contacted today.
