SUBANG JAYA: A 23-year-old man was killed in a five-vehicle pileup at USJ 8, here, earlier today.

Subang Jaya district police chief Assistant Commissioner Yahaya Ramli said it is believed that the victim had lost control of his Proton Satria Neo when he was making a turn to enter an apartment’s premises at 3.15am.

“The deceased had crashed into a Proton Wira which was parked at the parking lot, before it crashed into another two cars. The victim’s vehicle caught fire as it rammed into a Perodua Kembara. It is believed that the victim could not escape as he was pinned on his seat,” he said.

Yahaya said the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

The body was sent to Serdang Hospital for post-mortem.
