KERPAN: Datuk Seri Mukhriz Mahathir today rubbished rumours that he will relinquish his post as Kedah Menteri Besar.

Mukhriz said he did not see any reason to do so as the responsibility was entrusted to him by the Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak.

He said this when responding to a question in a press conference after officiating the National Farmers Organisation’s farming programme in Ayer Hitam.

It was recently reported that BN Bukit Lada assemblyman Datuk Ahmad Lebai Sudin had urged Datuk Seri Mukhriz Mahathir to resign from his post should the latter no longer supported Najib’s leadership.

Mukhriz,however, said Kedah Umno would announce its official stand on the matter this April 24 after a meeting with all the state’s 15 Umno division chiefs.-nst
