SHAH ALAM, June 27 (Bernama) — Pos Malaysia Berhad (Pos Malaysia) today launched a new image of its linehaul service in an effort to boost effectiveness of its letter and parcel delivery system nationwide.
Pos Malaysia acting chief executive officer, Azlan Shahrim said the rebranding involved 353 lorries, including 94 new ones which cost RM21.3 million.
“It is hoped the new image and new vehicles can spur the personnel of Pos Malaysia to give their best services to consumers,” he told reporters during the launching of the image by Deputy Communications and Multimedia Minister Datuk Jailani Johari, here, Saturday.
Meanwhile, at the same media conference, Jailani said the rapid business expansion online required the postal service to adopt modern technology in parcel delivery.
“…and I am made to understand, the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission and Pos Malaysia had discussions to determine what modern technological equipment can be adopted to ensure the best service for consumers,” he said.
Azlan and he then had ‘sahur’ with 500 Pos Malaysia staff.
