Post-mortem completed, police waiting for families for ID process

GUA MUSANG: A post-mortem on the body found at Pos Tohoi last night, believed to be one of the seven missing Orang Asli students from SK Pos Tohoi, was completed last night.

Police are now waiting for the six families to identify the body at Gua Musang Hospital mortuary.

As of 10am, two of the families from Kg Penad have arrived at the police headquarters, while four others are said to be on their way, before all six are brought to the mortuary by the police for the identification process.

District police chief Superintendent Saiful Bahri Abdullah said the families, four from Kg Penad and two from Kg Gawin were informed last night.

“We gathered those from Kg Penad at Pos Tohoi last night itself, while those from Kg Gawin should have arrived this morning, since it takes a longer time from Gawin,” he said.

Saiful is expected to hold a press conference at the hospital mortuary at noon.

On August 26, seven students- six girls and a boy are aged between seven and 11, were believed to have fled into a nearby jungle because they feared punishment for swimming in a river without permission
