M2WF 2015 plans to draw biking enthusiasts

KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia Two-Wheels Festival (M2WF) 2015 promises to witness the largest gathering of bikers and cyclists from all over Malaysia.

The festival is targeting a turnout of 30,000 visitors to the event, which will be held from Dec 3 to 6 at the CIDB Malaysia Convention Centre.

Themed ‘Riders for the future’, the third installation of the M2WF is geared towards promoting a healthy lifestyle among riders and the fans, as well as encourage public interest in the activity.

WSF Travel and Tours Sdn Bhd managing director Wan Shairi Wan Ahmad said the festival will focus only on the technology and the development of motorcycles, but also to showcase the cycling industry.

“This will be the first ever event in Malaysia to combine both motorcycles and bicycles in one occasion,” he said at the M2WF press conference, here today.

Shairi said M2WF 2015 will also be a meeting point for the people from the two-wheeled industry, with participants and fans from both Malaysia and Asean countries.

“Our counterparts from Indonesia and Thailand will also bring custom-made bikes all the way from their homeland to showcase their creativity and variety,” he said.

He said several Malaysian builders will also be displaying their masterpieces. Visitors will also be entertained by musical performances featuring artistes such as Awie (Wings), Black (Wings) Cat Farish, Nadi Johari and more.
