PETALING JAYA: Malaysia Trade Union Congress (MTUC) president Khalid Atan (pic) passed away on Tuesday morning.

His death was confirmed by MTUC secretary-general N. Gopal Kishnam.

Gopal did not, however, elaborate on the cause of Khalid’s death.

Khalid, 63, was first elected as the congress’ president in 2010 and re-elected in 2013.-Thestar
