KUANTAN: Politeknik Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah (Polisas) has set up a special phone line for the public to provide information on the whereabouts of 19-year-old student Wan Syazlin Wan Zainuddin who was reported missing since Feb 5.

Polisas student affairs and welfare department officer Zulkifli Mat Nasir said those with information on the missing girl or know her whereabouts can contact 09-5655378.

“The special phone line was established to help the authorities and her family to track down the missing student. We hope to get some positive news soon,” he said when contacted today.

Syazlin from Kampung Telaga Mas, Paka was supposed to return home after being allowed 10-days leave beginning Feb 4 for the Chinese New Year celebrations.

However, when she failed to return home on Feb 7, her father lodged a police report at the Dungun police station.

Police have confirmed that Syazlin is still missing despite social media reports claiming that the girl, fourth of seven siblings, had returned to Polisas on Monday.-nst
