Opposition’s tussle over seat allocations proof of inability to lead Swak state: PM

LUNDU: The failure of opposition parties to reach a consensus over seat allocations for the 11th Sarawak election is proof that the loose alliance is not capable of leading the state.

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak said the impasse between PKR and DAP is proof that the opposition could never form the next state government and champion the aspirations of the people.

“I learned that BN has managed to retain two state seats during nomination day today.

“However, the opposition is facing a bleak situation after they failed to reach a consensus over seat allocations for the polls.

“It is proof that the opposition is not capable of forming the state government or championing the struggle of the people in Sarawak,” Najib told reporters here today.

Najib, who is also BN chairman, also urged candidates not to be complacent and instead work hard to retain the present seat and capture seats held by the opposition.-nst
