Petrovski’s family wants full report on incident that led to his death

MALACCA: The family of Malacca United (MU) reserve goalkeeper, the late Marco Stefan Petrovski who died here yesterday, has asked for a full report on the tragedy which led to their only son’s death.

MU Soccer Association (MUSA) president Datuk Seri Idris Haron said the state government would try to get funding to conduct an investigation and prepare the report.

“I feel there should be an investigation into the incident to satisfy all parties, especially the family of the deceased,” he told reporters after visiting Petrovski’s family at the Malacca Hospital here last night.

Petrovski’s, 18, was struck by lightning during training on April 5 and died yesterday without regaining consciousness.

Idris, who is Malacca Chief Minister said Petrovski’s body would be brought home to Australia for burial.

He said MUSA would ensure that the process of repatriating the remains to Australia will proceed smoothly as hoped by Petrovski’s family.-nst
