KOTA BARU: An angler who was reported missing in Sungai Kelantan near the Kemubu Agricultural Development Authority (KADA) Pumphouse, here on Saturday was found drowned today.

Ketereh Fire and Rescue Station head, Deputy Superintendent Mohd Rafain Mohd Zain said 38-year-old Zaini Harun’s body was found at 7.53am about 300 metres from the location where the boat he was in together with two friends had capsized.

His two friends, Mohd Riduan Mat Ali, 36, and Mohd Sukri Zailani, 32, managed to cling on to a floating log and were rescued by firemen at 8.51pm on Saturday.

“The victim’s body had been handed over to the police to be sent to the Hospital Raja Perempuan Zainab II, here for autopsy,” he said when contacted here today.
