Driver badly injured after car plunges into 10-metre hole

KUALA LUMPUR: A man sustained serious injuries when his car skidded and plunged into a 10-metre hole at a construction site near Kampung Pandan roundabout last night.

The victim is identified as 55 year-old M. Chandran.

City Fire and Rescue Department chief operations officer Samsol Maarif Saibani said firemen were alerted to the incident at 10pm.

Firemen took 10 minutes to rescue the victim who was pinned to the driver’s seat.

“He lost control of his Kia Spectra.

The car then hit the construction barriers before falling into the hole,” said Samsol.

The victim was sent to the Kuala Lumpur hospital.-nst
