Johor police tracking down MACC man for domestic violence

JOHOR BARU: Johor police have received two reports against a Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) employee based in Segamat for allegedly abusing his wife.

State police chief Comm Datuk Seri Wan Ahmad Najmuddin Mohd (pix) confirmed the police reports on Friday, saying they were in the process of tracking the man down.

He said the reports were made following a viral posting on Facebook by a woman who claimed she was abused by her husband, who is an MACC employee.

“In the posts that went viral, the victim entailed how her husband allegedly beat her up, threatened her with a parang and even forced her to perform oral sex on their child,” Comm Wan Ahmad said.

He said the suspect had not shown up to work at the Segamat MACC office.

“The suspect also had a narcotics record in Muar last year,” he said.

He added that police had opened two investigation papers and were investigating the case under Section 323 and Section 506 of the Penal Code for causing hurt and criminal intimidation, and Section 18 of the Domestic Violence Act.-thestar
