KOTA KINABALU: Chief Minister Datuk Seri Musa Aman has praised security forces here for vanquishing a kidnap-for-ransom group at two separate locations on the east coast last night.
Commenting on the developments, Musa said although he has been briefed by Sabah police commissioner Datuk Abdul Rashid Harun, he has yet to hear the full details.
“What I was told is that there were two separate incidents at Lahad Datu and Semporna last night. I can’t comment much, as we (must) wait for the full disclosure by the police commissioner.
“I congratulate our security forces for being brave in carrying out their duties.
“What is important is that we continue (to extend) full cooperation to ensure no more kidnappings occur in Sabah.
We are always prepared to fight in full force against abductors that enter our Sabah waters,” Musa stressed.-nst
