Two remanded over Penang shooting incident

GEORGE TOWN: The bodyguard who shot dead his boss in the incident on Thursday at Tun Dr Lim Chong Eu Expressway has been remanded seven days.

The 37-year-old bodyguard was remanded for seven days to facilitate investigations into the incident which saw three people in total killed and four others injured.

The man is understood to have gone berserk, shooting dead his boss, Datuk Ong Teik Kwong, and two other men.

A 31-year-old businessman who was travelling in the same car as Ong, has also been remanded seven days to facilitate investigations.

The bodyguard was in the car together with his boss, who was driving the vehicle, and another man when he suddenly drew his gun and shot his 32-year-old boss.

The other two men killed in the 7.30pm incident was a motorist and a man on a motorcycle.

The bodyguard was arrested at the scene on Thursday.-thestar
