IPOH: Firemen were called in to rescue a senior citizen early today after she got stuck between the toilet bowl and bathtub in her house in Jalan Lembah Ledang here.

It was learnt that in the 6am incident, the 79-year-old woman had gone to the bathroom when she slipped and fell.

A spokesman from Meru Raya Fire and Rescue Department said the department was alerted of the incident at 6.13am.

“We spent about half an hour to pull the woman out by using a special tool to move the toilet bowl.

“Later, she was taken to the Raja Permaisuri Bainun Hospital for further checks.” he said.-nst
