Kit Siang planning legal action against Hadi over anti-Islam remarks

GEORGE TOWN: DAP adviser Lim Kit Siang is planning to take legal action against PAS president Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang for allegedly labelling the former as anti-Islam.

The Gelang Patah member of parliament said he had asked his lawyer to look into the matter.

“I’m not anti-Islam,” he told reporters after attending the Chinese New Year open house hosted by Penang Chief Minister, Lim Guan Eng at Spice Arena near here on Saturday.

Commenting on the strong stand of PAS which still refused to cooperate with DAP, Kit Siang said it was Abdul Hadi’s right to reject any possibility of working together with DAP.

Abdul Hadi was reported as saying that PAS had reiterated that it would not accept Lim’s offer to cooperate with DAP to ensure victory for the opposition in the upcoming 14th General Election. -Bernama
