Man dies after being stabbed at Mont Kiara nightclub

PETALING JAYA: A man died from a stab wound after an altercation that was caused by a shoulder bump at a nightclub in Mont Kiara early Saturday morning.

The 22-year old victim had gotten into a fight at about 4am with an unknown man at the club.

The victim was with two friends at the time. It is believed that the fight originated after a shoulder bump while they were dancing.

Witnesses claim that about 20 people attacked the victim and his friends.

The victim was stabbed with a knife in the right side of the chest. One of the victim’s friends was also injured in the head and chest while the other friend was not hurt in the altercation.

The victim was rushed to Hospital Kuala Lumpur but died from his wounds there at about 9am.

It is believed that his injured friend was sent to Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia Hospital (HUKM), but he refused treatment and left the hospital.

When contacted, Sentul deputy OCPD Supt Mohamed Rafiq Mohamed Mustafa confirmed the case.

He added that police had already identified the suspect involved and that investigations are currently still underway.-thestar
