Panicked parents call firemen after being locked out of car, with sleeping kids inside

BATU GAJAH: A couple panicked this morning when their two children, whom they had left sleeping in their car when they went to the market, refused to wake up.

Locked out of their car and with no way to open the doors, the frantic parents had to call the Fire and Rescue Department for help.

A Batu Gajah Fire and Rescue Department spokesman said they received a distress called at 7.32am and sped to the scene.

Despite repeated knocks on the car window, the children, aged two and eight, refused to wake up.

Firemen then had no choice but to break the side window in order to unlock the car.

Both children were unhurt in the incident.-nst
