SEPANG: The VX nerve agent used to kill Kim Jong-nam is a prohibited substance in Malaysia.

Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar said police are currently investigating how it was smuggled into the country.

He also denied that the dead North Korean’s next-of-kin will be arriving in” one or two days” to assist with the identification of the body.

“My deputy, Datuk Seri Noor Rashid Ibrahim, was misquoted yesterday. “We are still waiting for next-of-kin to come forward and provide DNA,” he said.
