GEORGE TOWN: An 82-year-old man suffering from Alzheimer’s who went missing for more than 15 hours in Penang on Sunday has been found.

Abdul Aziz S. Rauter who was missing from his home in Pantai Jerjak since 11am Sunday was found at 2.30am Monday at an apartment on Batu Uban hill. He was unharmed.

He is believed to have walked out without any prior notice or in possession of any identifying documents.

His son Munawir Abdul Aziz picked him up at about 3am.

“We would like to thank everyone who helped spread the word – friends, family and even strangers who although we do not know them. We are truly humbled by your kindness shown during our difficult time,’ said Munawir.-thestar
