Perak Cops Arrest Two Men, Seize RM3.6mil Worth Of ‘Pil Kuda’

IPOH: Police have arrested two men and seized 180,000 WY pills or “pil kuda” worth RM3.6mil at a house in Felda Sungkai, Muallim.

Acting Perak police chief Deputy Comm Datuk Hasnan Hassan said a team of policemen from the Muallim district police station carried out the raid at 2am on Tuesday.

“The two men, aged about 35, are not settlers, but were merely staying at the premises. One is a supervisor while the other is a trader.

“The pills weighed about 20.3kg. We also found 8.7g of methamphetamine at the house,” he told a press conference here Thursday.

“Both men tested positive for methamphetamine,” he said.

DCP Hasnan said the case would be investigated under Section 39B of the Dangerous Drugs Act, which carries the mandatory death sentence.

“The two men will be remanded until April 17.

“We will investigate if more people are involved in the syndicate.

“We believe the drugs are not from Malaysia but from a neighbouring country,” he added.-thestar
