Stop Right Now! Spice Girls To Reunite For RM55.3mil Each

English pop group The Spice Girls are reuniting to put out new projects, and all five members are being paid 10 million pounds (RM55.3mil) each for them.

The deal is on even though one of the group’s members, Victoria Beckham, who is otherwise known as Posh Spice, has given the condition that she will not have to sing at all. Reportedly, some of the new projects that the band will be involved in include a reality TV talent show, a combilation album of their greatest hits, endorsement deals as well as possibly judging a Chinese TV talent show.

The members are believed to be meeting sometime on Friday (Feb 2), said to be the first time all five women are in the same room since 2012. Besides Beckham, the other members in the group are Melanie Chisolm, or Sporty Spice; Emma Bunton, or Baby Spice; Geri Halliwell, or Ginger Spice; and Melanie Brown, or Scary Spice.

The Spice Girls, who were formed in 1994, are one of the biggest girl groups of all time. Their debut album Spice (1996), which included hit songs such as Wannabe and 2 Become 1, is reportedly the biggest-selling album by a girl group in music history.  The group went on hiatus in 2000 as the members wanted to pursue solo careers, but they reunited again for tours in 2007 and then again in 2012. – The Straits Times/Asia News Network
