KUALA LUMPUR: The ‘Smart Selangor’ free bus service operated by Rapid Bus Sdn Bhd is now available in Kajang after having been introduced in Petaling Jaya, Shah Alam and Subang Jaya on July 1 last year.
Prasarana Malaysia Berhad (Prasarana), in a statement, said the service was available from 6am to 10pm daily between Kajang town and the Kajang Bus Terminal at intervals of 15 to 20 minutes.
“The 9.4-km route from Kajang town to the Kajang Bus Terminal has 15 stops, passing through Jalan Sungai Chua, Jalan Wah Siew, Taman Kajang Indah, Taman Koperasi LLN, Taman Sri Kejora, Persiaran Cempaka, Persiaran Bangi and Jalan Reko.
“The return route from the Kajang Bus Terminal to Kajang town is 10.8 km with 19 stops, the additional stops being at Jalan Semenyih, Jalan Timur and Jalan Cheras,” the statement said.
According to the statement, the free, air-conditioned bus service with a capacity of 60 passengers per vehicle was also equipped with a passenger information system and WiFi, apart from being disabled-friendly.
The free bus service in Kajang was launched by Selangor Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali today. –Bernama
