KULIM: Four factory buses were completely destroyed, while a nearby parked van suffered 15 per cent damage in an early morning fire at Taman Tiram Indah here today.

Kulim Hi-Tech Fire and Rescue Department chief Mohd Azizi Abdullah said 11 firefighters rushed to the scene upon receiving a distress call at 3.16am.

“Upon arriving at the scene, we saw four factory buses engulfed in fire.

“We managed to prevent the fire from spreading to several other vans parked near the buses, with assistance from firefighters from the Kulim station. “(The fire was contained) by 3.51am,” Mohd Azizi said when contacted.

He added that all four factory buses suffered 95 per cent damage. Mohd Azizi said an investigation is underway to determine the cause of the fire.
