IPOH: The social budget will be a focus of the Perak Budget 2011, Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Dr Zambry Abdul Kadir said today.”SOCIAL BUDGET” WILL BE A FOCUS OF 2011 BUDGET, SAYS ZAMBRY
He said the social budget would concern education and welfare and the development of civil society.

It had been prepared after a comprehensive look at the requirements of the people of Perak, Zambry told reporters after chairing a state executive committee meeting here.

The social budget might be new, but it was an approach that several countries had adopted, he added.
In preparing the budget, he and others in the government had held a series of discussions with the people, Zambry said.

He said that some of the suggestions that people made at the meetings had been included in the budget.

Zanbry will table the 2011 budget at the session of the state assembly beginning on Monday.

He declined to say whether it would be a deficit, surplus or balanced budget.
