PUTRAJAYA: Public service staff should not carry out their responsibilities merely for the sake of rewards.

Deputy Prime Minister and Education Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin (pic)said the Government handed out perks to public servants to motivate them to deliver quality service.

“However, I must stress that we should not carry out our responsibilities by constantly hoping for rewards and recognition.

“We should be sincere in our work to contribute to the success of our nation,” he said in his speech at the Excellent Service Awards for Education Ministry staff here Friday.
